Cool place , relaxed semi-continental atmosphere

Yep we'd a great Sunday lunch here. The food was excellent. Sweet potatoe and chilli soups followed by sea bass for me, steak for she. Nice and relaxed and continental feel to the place. Maybe the price of the wines could be reduced all round by say a fiver a bottle, but all in all a good dining experience at a reasonable price. On the Sunday there was an accomplished jazz trio offering interesting and fresh interpretations of standards with a discreet style just right for the setting,... Read more...

Always impressed with Seapoint

Seapoint restaurant never fails to impress, food amazing, service excellent and menu choice great. Seapoint located in the heart of monkstown village is perfect for a quiet dinner for two or a get together with friends. Restaurant decor is clean and crisp, with scenes from the local area adoring the walls in some fab paintings. We have been to Seapoint quite a few times now and each time food has been delicious, esp the fish dishes – Seabass is always great! Wine list is extensive and... Read more...

Going down hill

(12 August 2009)

Report

Being local I have been three times since it opened. I loved it the first time round but since then it has gone down hill. I went for sunday lunch with a friend and the fish was undercooked, the only way to describe my desert was awful. The Service was very slow even though there was only three other tables in the restaurant full. I found it very disapointing and feel their standards have dropped dramatically since they first opened. On top of this it is not very good value for money... Read more...

One of my Fav spots by the Sea!

I won't beat around the bush here folks. If you want to somewhere that is relaxed, without being too formal, then here's the place. If you want delic food with great wine and good service with friendly waiting staff, then I would recommend Seapoint. The wine list offers good value with mixed selection. I travel across the city to eat here, which says it all really! After I might head out to Dalkey to Finnegans for few pints which generally rounds off a good night!... Read more...

This place does great food; It is slightly expensive but worth it. I had fish of the day and it came with the most divine potatoes and veg, I never thought I would say that about broccoli but did it taste good. The ambience is nice and the waiting staff were on the ball...I would definitely return, voucher or not!... Read more...

Excellent Food, Service OK

We visited here for first time in January and were very impressed by quality of food. The place was quiet full, which again was a good sign. Nothing turns me off more, than seeing an empty restaurant. I ordered duck, which was a bit salty, but other than that was perfect. The side order of chips, were more about presentation than practically, delivered in a cup rather than bowl. Therefore advise would be to alter this. The wine selection was quiet good and relatively inexpensive with a nice... Read more...
