I was here a few times when i went out with a guy from blackrock. The pub is lovely, wooden and traditional. I found it warm and welcoming. The staff where very pleasent and my god they served good food for pub grub. The small beer garden is lovely to just flop and have a drink outside (only during the warm weather).... Read more...

Coolest place in Blackrock

This is my favourite pub in Blackrock and by far the coolest. The decor was updated a few ago, which I did'nt like intially as it took away from the sheehans that I loved, however the new modern darker look adds a nice touch. Not a huge pub, which is great because it gives off a great atmostphere even when only half full. The food is extremely nice, although a bit pricy! Good place for a few pints

I've been here a good few times, work around the corner. It's comfortable, usual prices for pints, decent music etc. Generally a great atmosphere in the place. It's well staffed and the staff are good, the bar is never too busy so you're not waiting long on a pint. The beer garden/smoking area is spacious and has plenty of seating, heated etc. Its more of a few pints out with the lads or a few after work drinks than a real night venue in my opinion.
