The above statement has never been truer than it is today. I have always been a fan of The Socialist Party and it was terrible that Joe Higgins lost his seat in the last election, the man has spent his entire political career speaking for the people who are generally ignored by the political elite. He is now an MEP but perhaps he'll be back in the Dail after the next election.
