Extortion on Abbey Street - Euro 105 cents for a single Snickers

I was in town to buy a book,, feeling peckish but rejecting the idea of a chips and egg in the Del Rio in Marlborough Street, I thought a snickers will tide me over nicely for the hours parking time I had. So into Spar in Abbey Street, with a euro in my palm. One Euro five cents please, the foreign gentleman requested without batting an eye. I was taken aback, as my last purchases of snickers had been one for 52 cents in Tesco Filling Station Dundrum, and 5 for 1.99 in Lidl. The real deal... Read more...
