i have loved this park since i was little, it is a great spot to sit down and unwind. i recently got a noodle box nearby and chose to eat it in the park since it was a lovely day, it was so nice to sit and eat in a peaceful surrounding. i see a lot of others doing the same. this park can get quite packed in the summer and especially on st paddys day where the guards will search you before entering so there is no trouble.... Oasis

St Stephen's Green Park is an oasis right in the city centre. Thankfully developers never got there hands on this prime real estate. It is so beloved by Dubliners and visitors to Dublin alike that it is a Dublin institution. It really does function as a vital green space in the surrounding concrete, both environmentally and socially. It is great for escaping the hustle and bustle of Grafton St and have a bit of relaxation time and space to yourself. It is always busy at lunchtime, especially in... Read more...

During the summer months, every time I go into town with my friends, if we happen to be on the Southside, we will always stop off in Stephens Green and lie on the grass, and have a chat. Or grab our lunch in one of the newsagents and eat in on the green. It's such a nice part of Dublin City. Amidst the concrete jungle holds a lovely, lovely park. On a sunny day during the summer it's packed with tourists. Sometimes it's even hard to find a place to sit on the green! I've moved school this year... Read more...

Busy but pleasant

I'm never convinced whether I enjoy this park or not. There are days when you wander in and it's relatively quiet and calm then others when throngs of loud groups of people put me off feeling relaxed. I will say though that it is lovely to have such a big park in the city centre and there are parts of it if you wonder further away from the main gate which are pleasant and not so bustly . It's always nice to grab a sambo with friends and sit on the grass in the summer and even a hot chocolate by... Read more...

What a little gem of a place! you would have no idea you are in the middle of Dublin when you step into this park! its the only place to go on a sunny day in the city. reminds my of when i was in college we used to come here and study for summer exams and sunbathe! love bringing kids here for picnics and they can go play in the kids area and see the ducks. beautiful place for photography... In the heart of the city

Stephens green is a small but excellently maintained park in the centre of Dublin city. It's got large pond in the centre of the park, although not suitable for swimming in it is full of ducks, that love bread, so if your heading there don't forget some. It also has a large well equipped playground for kids and a number of gazebos for when it rains. On a sunny day the park has a great atmosphere and can get really busy. So don't expect to much room for flying your kite, you'll be lucky to get... Read more...

St Stephens Green tree lined park is really nice. It's right in the heart of Dublin, with lots of trees and pond several fountains and lots of seats to sit on. Surrounded by lovely Georgian buildings and with good public transport to it, the Dart stops beside the park. you can admire the water features, flower beds and maybe feed the ducks or sit on one of the many chairs and relax and enjoy the views or if you have children take them to the play area. I always have to watch my bag as a friend... Read more...

I love St Stephens Green Park, especially on a warm summers day. The waterall is beautiful, as is the ornamental lake. The children's playground is a popular attraction of the park for all the small people. Some music is played live here during the summer months. I like the park for a stroll around. It is very peaceful and full of beautiful trees and shrubery. You would forget you are in the middle of a bustling city here.... Read more...

Art on The Green

Today was Art on the Green Day. It is really lovely strolling the perimeter of this park when all the artists have their pictures on display. The weather was lovely and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. You know 90% of people can both stroll along and at the same time be aware of others strolling toward them in the opposite direction and NOT crash in to each other. Then there is the other 10% who seem incapable of sharing the footpath with others. They are walking in a straight line... Read more...
