There's a perfectly good asylum for the criminally insane JUST down the road

Why does this starbucks attract deranged people?? From the second I walked in it felt like the bad guy's lair in a batman film, No, not even that, because that would be kind of cool, and probably a bit have a bit more personality to be honest. This starbucks was like the kind of nightmare I'd have if I went a bit mad with the overconsumption at a parent-teacher meeting slash wine and cheese tasting night in a school for the children of the mentally insane, which also has a problem with crack.... Chicken pannini toasted was delicious here. Pity the cashier did'nt have one bit of sincerity or empathy in her. No wonder starbucks are closing stores in ireland, if they continue to employ wet squides like this. Ok, the pannini may have been nice, but was it worth 5.95, even at take out price? No as it was quiet average in size. If it was bigger then maybe. Avoid the muffins, blueberry or strawberry - Very bland with no excitement at all. I paid 8 something for the muffin and pannini. I... Starbucks the creche!

(15 August 2009)

Having not set foot in this establishment before, I decided to check it out and arranged a meeting here today. Ok, why would I avoid this place after today. 1. If you have yet to have kids or simply don't like the sound of screaming/whinging babies, then avoid. It felt more like a creche today than a place of relaxation. Because it's enclosed the noise levels are extremely high making conversation somewhat more difficult. 2. Starbucks must also hold the record for craming in as many... Read more...

Starbucks - take it away!

(06 February 2010)

Report

Starbuck is as it says on the tin - you get what you pay for!! The only problem i have with this starbucks is it is too small for the traffic flow in Dundrum and for some reason the seats down the back (the only comfortable ones) seem to attract a lot of flies. My advice - get it to take away!... Read more...

2 stars for Starbucks

In general I think that Starbucks is overrated but this place takes the biscuit. I don't get it at all. This coffee shop lacks character and atmosphere. It is far too small and someone needs to rethink the layout. It is no place to escape the madness of Dundrum Town Centre as it is impossible to relax here. I find the coffees only so so and a bit dear. I'm not a big fan.... Read more...

Too small and noisy

(05 March 2010)

I was a regular visitor to the old Starbucks over the Hughes & Hughes store on the third level. That one was large, bright and quite comfy. This one, sadly, is the opposite. It's small, dark and often packed out. Considering that many of the coffee drinkers during the morning are women with buggies, it is quite noisy and uncomfortable. It seems to take a long time to get served too. I understand that if the queue is long I'm free to walk away but often I'm 3-4 people from... Read more...

Ok i want to start by saying i'm all for a good cup of coffee to get me started in my day and to starbucks having a million different cofferent coffees for you and all that. They might be good at making it but man alive they take their time.i mean you wouldnt want to be in a rush. Now the places they have are nice and comfortable and you can enjoy it but i just dont get the wait and whatever you do, if they tell you they'll drop it down to you, just stay where you are or you mightn't get it at... This place is dark, cramped always packed and quite frankly an excuse of a coffee house. There is sometihng a bit dingy about it and the coffee tastes bitter and stale. There is always a queue as well, and whats with the lighting? its practically strpped. Only go in if youre desperate.my suggestion is to go to Butlers on the Ground floor. ... Read more...
