Swan Cinema, Rathmines
(05 December 2011)
by: Stuart K. 5 out of 5
Swan Cinema is great for people who live in or near Rathmines! it is very handy to go hear rather than going into the city centre or Dundrum town centre which you would have to do otherwise! the cinema is upstairs in the swan centre! its a small enough cinema with 4 screens but the theatres and screens are of decent size! they have the usual meal deals with popcorn and nachos, student discounts, you can pay online and collect tickets at the touch screen collection points! they often do midnight... i think having a cinema in rathmines is very handy and this place does the job. the cinema is usually very clean and the staff are helpful too. they also hold special previews for big films like harry potter and so on. the rates are very reasonable too and great student discounts. the screen sizes are quite good and bigger than you would expect before going in. the sound quality good be a bit better but im not complaining..... Just Perfect! The Swan Cinema, Rathmines
(10 September 2011)
by: Brian S. 5 out of 5
Remembering my college days when the local cinema in Rathmines was The Classic and the pubs that lined both sides of the streets, the location for the weekly pub quizzes and craic that was mighty! I was surprised to find out at a recent reunion that the Swan Centre where I would frequent for the lattes and hang out with my friends and chat had its own little cinema! I didn't believe it and they said, "there's even a website!" and lo and behold, I checked it out and it's brilliant,... Read more...

I have used the Swan Cinema a few times, not one of my favourites but is very convenient for me than some other cinemas.Upstairs in the Swan Centre it has 3 screens and the sound quality is excellent but some of the seats aren’t the most comfortable especially those near the front. It’s owned by Omniplex. You can book online and pick your tickets up later in the cinema. ... Read more...

Decent

I like this cinema. It may not provide the full quota of releases that other houses do, but it's perfect if you live in the vicinity. The staff are welcoming in their demeanour and all goes without a hitch. I've been here a few times and I've had no complaints. The prices charged come in about right/average. Tis a good un.... Lovely cinema
(09 February 2011)

Went here recently to watch The Black Swan and thought it was lovely. Staff were really nice and the popcorn was delish. The seats are really comfy too. Wasn't expecting much from this cinema and it really exceeded my expectations. Really handy cos they have parking downstairs too and it's close enough to city centre.... Read more...

Swan Cinema
(07 January 2011)
by: Annie C. 3 out of 5
Don't use this cinema much as i feel it is a bit dated compared to the bigger cinemas. The cinema itself is ok it is very small though and they don't have the great selection of movies you would get in the bigger ones. the food here is so expensive they need to review their prices i always bring my own treats in with me when coming in here as its just too expensive to buy on site.... went here with my o2 treat deal and got in for 4 euro :) its a very small cinema with only about 3 screens but with a good handy location. the only problem i have is that i found the staff a bit rude and unhelpful and that they were offering 3 hours of parking for 1.50 euro but its that price anyway... false advertising. but all in all good little handy run of the mill cinema.... O2 Treats
(25 October 2010)
by: Fiona F. 4 out of 5
O2 treats offer €4 for a ticket here Mon - Thurs which is great and I have used it a few times. The screens are nice and cleaned and there are good food offers. Will definitely go back, plus parking in the shopping centre is only €1.50 after 6pm... Read more...

Great interior design ;)

Just made my first trip to the Swan Centre-it's great to have a cinema in the south of the city, no need to get a bus all the way into the city centre, or the Luas out to Dundrum. Reasonably priced, particularly for a Saturday night-7 euro for a student and 9 euro for an adult. Pretty expensive for the food-7 euro-something for a bottle of water and some popcorn, that took the wind out of me, but it's probably pretty average. Next time Im filling my bag with sweets before I go in! In... Read more...

Whatever
(02 April 2010)
by: Erin F. 3 out of 5
I came here to see Shutter Island a few weeks a go. It's an ok cinema but it's ten euro for a student on Friday because apparently Friday counts as the weekend. Not before 7 it shouldn't! Also it doesn't state on the website what the student prices are. Your seats are chosen for you and there were only about ten more people in the screen and we were all sat closely together. The staff were pleasant enough I suppose but I don't get why they placed everyone close together. The toilets aren't... Read more...

Swan Cinemas -- Clean and Crisp...
(30 March 2010)
by: Cameron B. 3 out of 5
The Swan Cinema is conveniently located just along Rathmines road, although slightly tucked away onto the first floor of the Swan Shopping Centre. It was unveiled only recently in December '09 and had a tough time breaking through to the public eye, as it was opened amidst the big chill; hindering its promotion. My experience of the Cinema is that it appears quite modern, and boasts a very American feel that I can't put my finger on. Prices are reasonable, although I am quite adverse to the... Read more...
