Tasty but afforadable
(22 November 2011)
by: Sarah-Anne B. 5 out of 5
I have to say this is a lovely treat. The selection of cheeses, vegetables and fruit is quite expansive in range and very affordable. Little bit more expensive then in shops but it's all a little different. The people running the stall are usually very happy to help if they don't have it they'll point down the bunch of stalls to somewhere that will have something more like what you want.... Read more...

This is a lovely food court situated in the heart of dublin. It sells lovely fresh grown produce and is very reasnably priced. I have been here loads of times and always managed to get a bargain. They do lovely cheeses and offer a great selection for cheese lovers. They do lovely fresh fruit and vegetables which are not that expensive either I would say there cheaper than buying in leading brand named shops. Lovely people working in the markets. Great place to go... Read more...

this is a lovely place to eat out as the food is good quality and value but also the selection of food is fantastic. the variety of choice contains different nationalities of food and is a great place to taste authentic food from other countries as well as more native foods. the prices are generally fair and also are well worth paying for the change from normal fast food like mac donalds and burger king.... I really love this food Market. You can get all different type of food, fresh fruit and vegetable, cheese and cooked food, dried cereals and fruits, flowers and bedding plants. David sells lovely juicy apples from his own orchard. Sheridans cheese may pong but it taste really nice and theres a stall that sells gorgeous fresh home made bread. Even if you don’t buy anything the market is a place to visit when in Temple Bar on a Saturday. The stallholders are friendly and will let you try a... Read more...

Best

Best farmers market I have ever been to. I am used to ones that just sell fresh veggies and fruit but this also has great cooked foods and drinks. Great food smells. I have tried almost every stand at this point and have never been disappointed. The Real Olive Co does amazing stuffed olives and gorgeous salads, sold by weight and Sheridans cheeses the best. Always packed and a great crowd. ... Read more...

I went here after hearing really good reports on it. It's not like your average famers market- there is lots of real high quality food suitable for any budding chef! There is also a great variety available- Mexican, Asian and Chinese amongst otheres. There is also a few stalls that make food, and it is guaranteed to taste lovely. I only advise you to get there early as when I went it was completely packed!... Read more...

I love going to the Temple Bar Food Market on Saturdays. I try to make sure I go just after my breakfast or my lunch because if I go when I'm hungry, the temptation to eat everything in sight is slightly overwhelming!! There are so many stands selling delicious wares, all kinds of meat, breads, cakes, olives, veg etc etc. It's a foodie's heaven and a great way to while away a few hours. If you decide to have a night in and cook up a feast, it's a fantastic place to go to plan a menu and pick up... Read more...

I can't believe how often I forget that this place runs every Saturday - I'm never disappointed when I do make the effort to go there. It's the perfect way to kill a pleasant half hour while you're in town. There's a great selection of stalls, with plenty of them selling food that's ready to eat on the spot, so it can be a good option for lunch. There's fantastic organic meat here for cheaper than you would find it elsewhere - it's also amazing for cheese lovers. It would be great if there... Read more...

I have been here several times. The market is always great no matter what the weather! As noted by previous posts, it can be pricey, but such high quality food it is hard to fault them! Some great stand to note is the organic veg (always in the north east corner) amazing herbs and fresh home made yogurt, Paddy Jack's cheese and lamb for a Blue cheese lamb sandwich, sheriden's cheesemongers and the apple cider guy! There are loads more that are great, but it depends on taste! Also,... Read more...

I love the atmosphere of this market, its like taking a little step back in time. The traders are all very friendly and happy to answer any of your questions or give you some advice. The food here is a little different and totally worth that little extra you might end up paying, well worth the price. Its great to be able to buy foods you can eat there and then also, a lovely way to end the day.... Read more...

This is such a varied place. You can pick up almost anything here. I really love the italian stands where I can;t walk by without buying some fresh olives and eating a few. THe ingredients here are top notch and I love coming here before any big meal, everything is just so fresh and tasty. I'd reccomend this place to anyone looking for good quality produce that is willing to pay a little more for it.... Read more...
