Fancy after work drinks
(29 June 2010)
by: Marshall K. 4 out of 5
Its hard to review this place as one as it consists of three parts. So here is a review of them individually: 1. The Bar - This is the ground floor with the outside Beer garden. The whole building is a converted church and the conversion is done impeccably well. It is contrast old wood and originally features such as an organ with ultra modern materials and lighting. The drinks are some of the most expensive in town where you will pay up to 6.20 a pint. There is plenty of seating inside and... Read more...

Great Spot but not for food
(25 January 2010)
by: kevin m. 3 out of 5
There was a large group of us there for dinner all in fancy dress. The staff were nice and in the Halloween atmosphere, the wine was nice and a reasonable price but the food was a disappointment having heard such great reviews, particularly the desserts no one really liked them - bread and butter pudding was wierd and the chocolate cake would have been better had it been warmed. Other than that a great venue... Read more...

Al Fresco dining in the Summer!
(04 February 2010)
by: Jeanne B.

I ate and drank here last summer. They had little marquis outside and a large BBQ serving great burgers etc. with your pint or coffee - a prompt and friendly service. Its a lovely setting with the beautiful church to look up at or look out on the adjoining square. When it got a little cooler in the evening we went inside for coctails and found a great variety of seating from comfy leather sofas to high tables and stools. A really different experience!... The Church - Very expensive
(17 February 2010)
by: Patrick C. 2 out of 5
very nice looking building. Restaurant upstairs on the balcony overlooking the bar below. Decor is very nice and a good mixture of modern and traditional. Tables are poorly laid out and space is very tight. Also the restaurant is very noisy as all the noise from the bar below travels upwards making it very hard to hold a dinner conversation. The starter of prawns was quite tasty but miniscule. 5 prawns in sauce spread out on a large plate with a bit of salad thrown in to fill it out a bit.... Read more...

A nightclub - Not.
(23 February 2010)
by: Jouni J. 4 out of 5
The Church is neither a food restaurant nor a nightclub as the food isnt that great and the "night" club isn't nothing but a niche. At least it's only a nice place to drop in with some of your friends for few drinks before hitting on to some real nightlife in Dublin. Visit this place if: - You're a tourist (As this place is full of history) - You like to pay too much for a pint of Guinness - You're enjoying a nice evening in the City with your friends. Do not: - Eat here... Read more...

The Church should pray for a cook!!!
(13 March 2010)
by: Anthony E. 0 out of 5
I have stopped here often for a drink, this time decided to have lunch with my partner…..BAD IDEA, my beefburger appeared to have been cooked the day before and re-heated with a hairdryer, a tennis ball would have been more edible, I mentioned this to our waiter after the meal (the chips and salad were okay), his comment was that all burgers were cooked “well done” I pointed out that my concern was not HOW it was cooked but WHEN it was cooked, he had no comment to make. My... Read more...

great beer garden which always seems to be sunny at some point, even on the sunniest day and people are craving for a drink dont have to wait long for a table, its not the cheapest place in town but i guess it makes up for prices as is such a cool venue, an 'old church'! everytime i've headed to this palce i've had a good time! ... worth a look
(16 February 2009)
by: J O. 3 out of 5
Impressive bar and restaurant in this converted church, It also has a nightclub downstairs, so it's a good one stop party shop. However its location is a bit out of the way (at end of Henry St) and drinks are too expensive....prices went up after 11....?6.50 for a pint/bottle of beer and over ?5,50 for a pint of Guinness!. Granted it's a nice bar, it does still have the atmosphere of a church - though with the prices they charge for a pint here, it would be cheaper just going to mass and giving... Read more...

good Northside venue
(26 July 2009)
by: Helen G. 4 out of 5
I went here on Friday and was pleasantly surprised. It has a massive beer Garden with lots of seating so if the weather is decent, you can stay outside...Inside is really nice and there is a new downstairs part which has a dance floor and is free in ...the food looks good too. Definitely a good venue for the Northside and it was really lively and buzzing on Friday. I would definitely recommend!... Read more...
