The northside's most pleasant coffee spot.

If you happen to be in the vicinity of Henry St/Mary Sy on one of the three or four sunny days that constitute the Irish summer, you would be well advised to sit outside The Church for a cup of coffee (or a pint if it's after twelve noon, or if it's before noon and you don't mind the social stigma of drinking in the morning). All of the tables in the outdoor seating area come equipped with big umbrellas, which I imagine are there theoretically to serve as parasols to keep you out of the sun,... Read more...

Great Spot but not for food
(25 January 2010)
by: kevin m. 3 out of 5
There was a large group of us there for dinner all in fancy dress. The staff were nice and in the Halloween atmosphere, the wine was nice and a reasonable price but the food was a disappointment having heard such great reviews, particularly the desserts no one really liked them - bread and butter pudding was wierd and the chocolate cake would have been better had it been warmed. Other than that a great venue... Read more...

this is a truely beautiful place with a large bar set in the centre and seats/tables around it. Upstairs there is seating for the restaurant part and downstairs there is a nightclub which can be booked for private parties. I have never been here when it was quiet its always full and has a great atmosphere. The food is beautiful and there is a great selection for everyone. MMmmm the cocktails are just fab here mouth is watering thinkin about them lol. It can be hard getting a seat here as tables... Read more...

great central place
(28 December 2009)
by: Helen G. 3 out of 5
This place is great as it has so many options, you can get bar food|(tasty and reasonably priced) a coffee or dinner,It is also a nightclub(not bad) and a late bar. The crowd is mixed but its a good venue if youre with a ... crowd and dont want to be shuffling between places for dinner or late bar etc. worth checking out. Toilets are a bit confusing though.... good Northside venue
(26 July 2009)
by: Helen G. 4 out of 5
I went here on Friday and was pleasantly surprised. It has a massive beer Garden with lots of seating so if the weather is decent, you can stay outside...Inside is really nice and there is a new downstairs part which has a dance floor and is free in ...the food looks good too. Definitely a good venue for the Northside and it was really lively and buzzing on Friday. I would definitely recommend!... Read more...

worth a look
(16 February 2009)

Impressive bar and restaurant in this converted church, It also has a nightclub downstairs, so it's a good one stop party shop. However its location is a bit out of the way (at end of Henry St) and drinks are too expensive....prices went up after 11....?6.50 for a pint/bottle of beer and over ?5,50 for a pint of Guinness!. Granted it's a nice bar, it does still have the atmosphere of a church - though with the prices they charge for a pint here, it would be cheaper just going to mass and giving... Read more...
