In my opinion for the size of Dundrum town centre there isnt that great of a selection of places to eat that are good value, ignoring mcdonalds and tgi's and the likes. In comparison the counter is a great addition, real food and not too bad price wise. great choice of toppings and sides which are all to die for. slightly off the main area though so if you didnt know your way around DD might not be aware that its there.... Good food, long wait

Counter burger is a great novelty the first couple of times you try it, and the toppings and various combinations can be really great! the burgers are reasonably priced too, but milkshakes and other drinks are quite overpriced. There's also a really long wait for food if the place is at all busy, so I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have a decent stretch of time! This is a really good spot for having something to eat. You put your own burger together, choose all the toppings, salads, sauces bun or no bun and its all put together by the staff. Prices are okay for what you get. Everything is so fresh and the variety of items to put on your burger is good. We go often as their portions are good sized. The Counter in Dundrum Town Centre is nice for a change and the setup is a change from the norm. You basically tick the checklist and decide what ingredients you would like on your burger etc. Novelty idea but got a bit confusing and slow with a selection of different toppings and sauces. I go here alot - at least twice a month to meet one friend or another and I always enjoy it. Last week a group of 5 of us went and the service was great the food was delicious so we asked for the bill and said oh could we pay seperately please!!!! To get a reply oh "ALL OF YOU" SIGH!!!!! and a little snarl of a face back at us. I remember my first en- Counter here ! Food was delicious, staff were lovely prices were reasonable(ish). Now I would say that food is still delicious and staff are still lovely but the prices at the moment are quite high. This is a definite deterrent in this day and age when you can go elsewhere and get a burger and fries for quite a bit less money. I love this place ok it is kind of expensive but it's just as good as gourmet burger and it is cheaper than there! The staff are good they could be a little more attentitive but the food just cannot be faulted everything I have ever ordered here I have been happy with. Very family friendly

Ate here a few weeks back with some family members....we had two three year olds with us and two babies and I have to say the staff were excellent in dealing with families. They immediately brought us highchairs - cleanest I've ever seen anywhere - and colouring items for the three year olds. They also brought us fries immediately for the children which was great. Love the chicken wings and burgers here.. a bit pricey for fast food so it is a treat but it is nice! Service is ok, staff are not too friendly.. we tried to book a big table for work but they wouldn't let us, which resulted in us waiting a long long time for our food.. as I say, food is lovely but service could be better!... Good burgers and great choice

A favourite of my husbands, The Counter is great place to visit if you are craving a proper hamburger. The menu is fantasic with such a wide variety to chose from different toppings to sauces. Love the option of a burger in bowl without any bread, The sides are very tasty also. Staff always seem very happy and friendly and the place is always busy which is a great sign.... Read more...
