A nice local boozer

This is a pub on the malahide road not at all far from Artane castle. A friend of mine lives in the area and so I have gone there with her for a drink the odd time. As pubs go its nice and pretty standard, they have a wooden finish décor as many pubs have and the place is clean etc. There is usually a good enough crowd in there on a weekend night and so sometimes it can be hard to find a seat especially if there is a match on so my advice is to get it there nice and early! ... Decent local with good food

Have been in the Goblet a few times as I've friends in the area. The Goblet is quite a big pub with alarge upstairs lounge. Its very popular on matchdays and tends to have a very local and down to earth mixed crowd - families, couples and old school pint merchants. The food is excellent - I actually know the chef and he's top notch and has worked with the best of them!. The Dublin team often come in after training for grub.... Read more...

The Goblet is a pub which, while fairly close to where I live, is not spot that I would drink at too frequently, as I'm not usually down that way. More's the pity, as The Goblet is a very nice spot. It doesn't have a huge amount of competition pubs-wise where it's located, but this lack of alternatives has not made The Goblet's management complacent.
