this park is so big, you can explore it and not bump into someone for a while so you feel you are in the vast countryside. there are many things to do and see such as the zoo. you can explore the lands and you might spot some deers also. it is a great place to have a family picnic and there are many nice spots beside lakes and so on. the street lamps are also lovely and look lovely against the back drop... Brilliant for a day out
(10 December 2011)

Phoenix Park has to be one of the things that I love the most about living in Castleknock - the park is right on our doorstep. We use it on a regular basis for walks, runs, picnics and of course to drive into the city centre! The zoo is amazing, but my daughter loves visiting the various play areas for a run around, but they can get quite busy so be sure to go early if you want to go when it's quiet.... Read more...

A Jewel
(05 December 2011)

Phoenix Park is a real treasure in Dublin & so hard to believe its in the middle of a city just as Central Park is in New York but the difference been that the Phoenix Park is 5 times the size of Central Park as famous and all as it is and every bit if not more beautiful. Zoo is a major attraction of course for families but on a nice sunny day there is nothing better than having a picnic on the grass and letting the kids work off some energy with a ball or cycling some bikes.... Beautiful oasis of whatever you want
(31 October 2011)
by: Sarah-Anne B. 5 out of 5
This park is so big and beautiful and only a Luas ride away from the center of town. It's very big and open so you can just have some alone time to relax or to catch a few rays if the weather allows it. IF you have a family with you and no money, you can have a picnic, go to the zoo, tour around and see an embassy, the Aras an Uachtarain (I know I spelled that wrong), some parks to play ball etc. If you do have some cash, you can go to the Zoo or a cafe or catch a Marquee gig, though those... With its tree-lined avenues and lovely deer, this park is a must see for all.In the summer it is so lovely to pack a picnic and come and chill out here for the afternoon with your loved ones. There are always so many activities going on here from joggers to roller bladers and general strollers.Lets not forget that Dublin Zoo and the Aras an Uachtarain(the president of Ireland's Residence)are located here so really you will not be left short of things to do when you come here !... its amazing to see the size of phoenix park , its beautiful and large but i say its very easy to get lost in. its great for long walks , jogs and lots of excerise. the kids to go to the park to play football and you will always find a place to set up without been in anyone's way. the kids love it too as the zoo is just round the corner. the only thing you have to do is make sure you bring lot's of snacks and water as there is not really any place inside to get something if you have nothing with... Fun place
(18 September 2011)

This is a really beautiful park located on the outskirts of the city. It runs for miles and is a great place to come to walk or cycle or just enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. There is lots to see and do here, theres the zoo, the papal cross, the presidents residence and lots of wildlife such as deer, squirrels and birds. There are several enterances and exits to the park as it spans 1752 acres. At the parkgate street enterance there is a place where you can hire bikes and there is also a tea... Read more...

Gorgeous Park
(17 September 2011)

I love the Phoneix Park. We bring the kids there every year and spend hours just walking round. It's a day out for them as we go on the train(we're from Galway) and spend the whole day there. It is lovely if you have a fine day and to bring a picnic and just sit and watch the world go by while the kids play nearby. They have such a vast area to run around and they are always wrecked after their day. There is also the zoo there where we have also spend many hours.... Read more...

Absolutely love the pheonix park. the wildlife is amazing and you see so many animals you wouldnt think would be roaming free in dublin. obviously the zoo is there which everyone likes but the park is HUGE!! I love Farmleigh which is located at the other end from the zoo and its magnificent- well worth a visit. you can wlak for miles in the pheonix park and take many routes. its always well kept and maintained brilliantly. there are exhibition centres, aras an uachtarain, papal cross and much... A stunning space in to behold
(14 September 2011)
by: Marshall K. 4 out of 5
Phoenix Park, is one of the largest urban parks in the world, and is a seemingly quite spot in an otherwise busy city. 1752 acres of wild grass and beautiful landscaped gardens and plenty of deer. A great place to go for any occasion weather to walk around with a significant other, visiting the Zoo with children, or having a game of footy with the lads. Beyond the more well known areas of the Phoenix Park there are some really beautiful parts, normally unseen if entering from the Heuston... Read more...

Phoenix Park
(14 September 2011)

I really like the Phoenix Park. It is so huge and no matter what time you go at during the day there are always several people around. Great for walking or a game of football or cycling a bike. In the summer it is lovely and in the Autumn with the autumnal colours it is extra nice. Dublin Zoo and Farmleigh are located there. It is a lovely amenity to have right in the centre of Dublin. There is plenty to do and see and it is free and very relaxing. And if you spot a few deers extra special.... Read more...
