LOVE this place, the food is really nice, very reasonably priced and the service is fast and friendly, most recent visit was with a bunch of friends for a Christmas night out, everyone was very impressed by the food and service, such great value, will most definitely be back for more (especially the chocolate fudge cake - absolute heaven!)... I hadn't been to the Step Inn in a long time, used to drink in it on a regular basis and always enjoyed it. It has been in Stepaside for years and has had many different changes over that time. Great car park and located in a lovely village that has expanded over the years. Had the lunch menu of fish and chips, very good and tasted great, lots in it and good value. Early Bird is great value and the food is superb

I've been here a good few times for dinner and lunch and I cannot fault the place. The value is good they have an early bird menu and it's 16.50 for 2 courses or I think 20 for 3 courses they have a fabulous menu from burgers to sea-bass and the salad & dressing is to die for. The service is great - never waiting too long. Overall a great atmosphere and it is usually busy on the weekends I would advise booking a table.... Read more...

Nice pub could be cleaner

I like this pub, it has a good atmosphere and is nicely tucked away in Stepaside Village. I've eaten here a few times too and was always happy enough. Recently I went with my family and kids and it left a lot to be desired. The fries were served in small steel buckets and when I took out the paper they were in the bucket itself was filthy. We asked for a highchair for the baby and it was disgusting never been cleaned. We ended up bringing in the buggy as I wouldn't put the baby in the chair.... Read more...

The Step Inn is a great spot and it's really popular with the locals. A lot of younger people live in the area so there is usually quite a lively atmosphere in and around the place at the weekends.The Food is really good too,and the duck spring rolls are top drawer! Sometimes there is live music which is also good craic. If your in area worth dropping into.Best Club play every 2nd Sunday - worth checking out. ... Read more...

this is a lovely pub right in stepaiside village, they do lovely food here all day every day, the only bad thing i have to say really about the food is that its quite fatty, everything has butter, cream etc. however you can request more healthy options on the menu. the bar staff are nice and if you dont want to watch people eat you can sit in the bar part of the pub, always a good atmosphere... This is a great pub. I have been here on numerous occasions. there is always a great atmosphere in here. I also like the decor. Its really nice. The place has every type of drink you could want. the staff are very nice also. there is ample parking which is brill. i also like the way the bar is set up. they are very welcoming. A real eye opener!

I really liked this pub, my boyfriend discovered it by accident when passing through Stepaside and we decided to give it a whirl. While its a lively little spot it's fairly untouched and there is a lovely village atmosphere which is what you want when you just want a few quiet drinks and a hearty dinner. The food was fantastic quality and beautifully presented. I will say that it was a bit cold the say we were there and the dining area was a bit shabby but at under €15 for an ample main... This is a great pub! They have done it up not to long ago, so the pic is a bit inaccurate! The food served there is delicious and very quick! They also do an early bird menu for 2 courses for €17 or three courses for €21! Apparently the Stone Grill (around the back) lets you make your own steaks to your liking! I dont really live anywhere that you would consider local to The Step Inn. And I dont drive.. so getting there can be a pain. I refuse to get a taxi anwhere at the start of the night! Thats spending needless money before the night has even begun! As a result of this I rely on an aul lift from some willing driver in my phonebook! And I do go here quite often. As the previous reviewers have said, there is always a nice atmosphere here. The live bands that they have playing are always brilliant... Read more...
