I booked a twin room on hotels.com, it was a bit last minute and paid 144E for 1 night, when I arrived the woman told me she upgraded me to a family room which had two single beds and 1 double, the room was clean and the décor etc was basic. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. But then again its in the heart of Dublin so I reckon they wouldn't have to include any frills to get them in like a hotel more out of the way would. I was supposed to check out at noon and checked out 30... Read more...

I won a night B&B in the Westbury Hotel recently and I availed of it last week. I enjoyed every minute of my short stay, it was class. I loved the coffee machine in the room so much I went to Brown Thomas and bought one for myself. The place is spotless and the staff of which there are plenty are great. The room had a few little extras that really made it its well earned five star.... Read more...

This is a great hotel in a great location. It is a five star hotel and the treatment you receive is 5 star too. The rooms are nice, comfortable but not very big. There is a nice lobby area in the hotel and it is just off Grafton Street so you can sit and admire the view below. It is also very handy for a shopping trip as all the shops are on your door step. The food here is ok I wouldn't describe it as fantastic, prices are high but again it is a 5 star so 5 star prices. ... Read more...

Several of us had an afternoon tea in this hotel to celebrate a birthday and we all agreed if was well worth the price. It's a beautiful hotel just off Grafton Street where you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff are so friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The room where we had afternoon tea was quite large and there were several other people having afternoon tea. Staff sang happy birthday to our birthday girld with a muffin and a candle, nice touch. A piano... Read more...

We stayed a night at this hotel recently. As we were walking up Harry Street toward the hotel with our suitcases the doorman walked down the street to greet us and help us with our bags. Our room was on the 5th floor. There was a gale blowing outside and you could certainly hear it beating against the roof area just outside our window. On check in we were presented with warm moist hand towels to freshen up, nice touch. Our room was smaller than I imagined it would be but it had a huge bed.... Read more...

This is a really nice hotel to book for a weekend break right in the heart of the city there are many celebrities that use the hotel too such as Usher and Cher Lloyd. They got rid of the old guy that used to be on the door, wasn't very fond of him at all. The new guy is lovely. Their food is over priced and so are their drinks but worth it if you just want somewhere to unwind. Nice location right on Grafton street.... Read more...

We booked a table here for afternoon tea midweek recently. We were lucky enough to get a table overlooking Harry Street. The first thing that I noticed was how warm the eating area was, uncomfortably warm I would say. After a while our afternoon tea arrived. Nicely presented with what looked like small portions. We had a selection of finger sandwiches. One of carmelised onions. one of egg and one of salmon. Two scones with cream and a selection of jams, three tiny cakes. I said that the... Read more...

I have never stayed in the hotel so I am unable to comment on that aspect. I have however been to the bar and eaten here a fair few times. Every time was great. The bar is a very relaxed atmosphere, the perfect place to head for pre dinner or pre theatre drinks. If you get the luxury of being there when someone is playing the piano in the bar, then you are really in for a treat. The place is beautiful then. The food is very tasty and quite reasonably priced. It is somewhere in the four to five... Read more...

Go for a room with a King Bed and roll top bath. You will have to upgrade to a suite but for a treat it's worth it. Two televisions in your room, do you need two? Even one over the bath. Get some nice chocolates in the evening when they turn down your bed. The common areas are large and spacious. Lots of nice flowers and soft furnishings. Stay and have an afternoon tea with champagne and strawberries. Continental breakfast included in the room price , pay a little extra for a cooked breakfast... Read more...

Have stayed in this hotel twice. It has to be the best located hotel for shopping in town. Both times I've stayed here have been Xmas shopping with my sister and you can shop and drop so easily. It is, however, very pricey. The rooms were very nice but very small. The staff were good but not extremely friendly. It has a really nice bar to relax in before you head to bed. It is the hotel I would head back to when I'm planning on my next girly overnight shopping spree. ... Read more...

Just off Grafton Street this is a five star Jury's owned hotel that has been around for ever! It is where all the stars use to stay before all the other new modern hotels were built. The rooms are really spacious and the bathrooms are lovely and stock Aveda products. The beds are really comfy and use the best linens and bedding from Brown Thomas. There are ipod docks in each room and wi fi.The Perch at the Terrace Lounge with its grand granite fireplace is really luxurious and old worldly and... Read more...
