I went in here today for a small bit of lunch i have to say the service was exceptional, the place was spotless, very relaxing atmosphere and lovely decor and lighting. I had the seafood chowder it was the best i have had in years, afterwards i had the bread and butter pudding the portion was huge and served with a lovely butterscotch warm sauce and cream. I had a baby bowl for my son with soup of turnip and bacon and mashed potato it also tasted divine i will be going back again for sure!!!!... Read more...

Very stylish boutique hotel

I love the Twelve Hotel in Barna, it's very serene and relaxing. The bedrooms are to die for - very plush and lush in luxurious surroundings. I used to love The West restaurant, however the past few times I have dined there I wasn't as impressed, I found the food to be better before, don't know what has changed? It's a shame as I used to love it and you could always be guaranteed of a seat even with no reservation and the dining room itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The manager... This is a lovely pub. I was in here last year with my family as we were staying in Galway city and decided to go for a sunday drive and on our journey we stopped off here for dinner. The place was very busy as it was lunch time. There was alot of familys there eating so we didn't feel out bringing the kids in. Got seated atraight away. Got a menu and order was taken a few mins later. Kids got chips and chicken and dinner was only €5 for them, I got chicken and it was lovely... Read more...

The Twelve Pins

The Twelve Pins Hotel can be found out in Barna. The Pins Bar serve food all day from breakfast through lunch and dinner. I think last orders are taken around 10pm. This is a busy tourist spot. I ate here recently while out spinning around. The food was very good. The staff gave a great service. The hotel is really clean as you would expect. The bar area is a little bit drab I thought.... The Twelve will ALWAYS be known to me as The Twelve Pins. We headed out here recently for Sunday lunch. It was very busy, a lot of families with children, but nonetheless, we were seen to very promptly. I had the homemade black pudding, which was absolutley perfect, my dining partner had the veggie soup which was "fine". I followed with duck, which was gorgeous, then baked alaska, which is a treat I hav'nt had in years. It was a really wide menu, that covered everyones tastes. We had... Read more...

This is a great hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the food is great. Also it's close to Galway, so it's the best of both worlds. The staff are always very attentive and kind. I've been here a couple of times and will return.... Read more...

The Twelve really "Goes the Extra Mile"

(30 November 2010)

Report

Every member of the staff at the Twelve Hotel did everything possible to make our 5 night stay the most amazing vacation. We are all experienced travelers, and can say that we have never stayed anywhere that every member of staff- from front desk, to restaurant and night manager - did everything they possible could to make us not only comfortable, but to exceed any of our expectations for customer service. It was apparent that all staff are extremely well trained in "going the extra... Read more...

I stayed in this Hotel before and had a very nice time. It is a botique hotel so not very big but it is lovely and comfortable. we had a suite which was very cosy it consisted of two rooms and was like a little apartment. The restaurant serve delicious food and the service is excellent. There is not much to Bearna itself but if you want a quiet break to get away from it all I highly recommend the twelve. ... Another handy place for some eats in the Barna area, ample parking, although some of the spots are a tight fit and its a handy place to pull into. THe service is a good, but it looks like the staff change often and the continunity is not great! one Trip will be a great experience and another won't, so its hard to rate! THe pizza is good here, as is the garlic bread, but the Prawn main course was one of the worst I ever had! I did send it back and no q's were asked, which was good! Coffee a bit... Read more...

An excellent ultra-modern hotel.

One word can sum up this hotel... luxurious. Firstly, the bedrooms are well spaced with a modern walnut bathroom and all have LCD tvs (with built in DVD players) in the room. The first day we arrived into the room, a selection of chocolate covered strawberries were laid out as part of our welcome pack. Next is the food. We ate in the bar on both nights and the food is second to none. I especially recommend the steak pie with chips. Very tasty! The location of the hotel is in a quite area in... Read more...
