Great - when it works!!!

We have UPC TV, phone and broadband, and when they all work the service is fantastic. However, if one or more of the services are not working, then be prepared for the most frustrating time of your life. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If you telephone, you can be on hold for up to 30 minutes. If you email, you get an automated response saying that they will reply with in 48 hours (they don't), and you will have to do all the phoning and chasing! Brilliant, as long as you... Read more...

I became a UPC customer because I changed address this month and as Carphone Warehouse offer a 250 quid voucher so that would be convenient for a new telly and phone. Can't be bad so far I hear you say. Well, despite the fact that I had no TV connection physically as Carphone were "delayed" in delivery of a TV that they at first said they could deliver to me and that was 'pulled' UPC sent me a bill for broadband, phone and TV. We have been with UPC for ages and we find they offer a great service. We only have the television with them and the odd time that we have had a problem we rang them and they were usually aware and say one of their workmen are working on it. Their customer service at one time was awful telephone would just keep ringing with no one answering but it has improved and service has been continuous with no faults. l subscribed to NTL TV some years ago as they appeared to offer a good service. However l found the company to be the most annoying and frustrated crowd ever. Several times when l "tried " to contact them when l had a breakdown it was the pits. lt was virtually impossible to speak to anyone. I have to say that when we had UPC television services we found them to be very good. We were only able to get television services with them, as they did'nt provide broadband at the time where we were living. Now fair enough, the range of channels you get with them, is as varied as you would get with Sky, but I found their customer service to be top class. We had a problem with repairs in our house and had to leave for a few months, while we were gone, they did not charge us our subscription.... Read more...

UPC - what can I say? we have broadband, tv and phone with them, they are exactly what they say on the tin, the broadband is fast and efficient and Ive never had a problem with the service I recieved, the customer service is appalling if you need to call for anything and we missed one Direct Debit and they just disconnected us, when I rang asking to re-connect for a week till pay day they wouldn't.. if we had a choice of getting a package with SKY Id change ... I have had very bad experience dealing with UPC. Signed up for the TV services. Firstly had problems with the installation was given al allotted time but they never showed up nor did the bother to call. They claimed they rang the buzzer and got no answer. Eventually did get it installed and much to my disappointment I had constant interruption to service with green tiling on my screen making it impossible to watch anything. I'm not a huge fan of UPC I had them for about a year and all i had was problems. I only had the tv I didn't have there broadband. What I didn't like about them was there customer services they are brutal and most of there staff need re training and they need more staff to man the phones you could be up to an hour waiting to talk to someone.I got rid of UPC and when to sky were I've never had a problem.... I've been with upc for around 3 years and I'm happy with them. I found the installation etc very professional and efficient. The recording from the tv to hard drive is such a good feature which i use all the time saving the hassle of dvds. I switched to them as they provided the fastest broadband speed which i really need all the time. And their broadband is great. I have never had a problem with this company. It took me a while to change over from my old provider. From start to finish the guys that installed were fast clean and professional. The service is excellent and the savings I have made are enormous. Their internet service is very fast and the amount of TV channels brilliant. Good cable TV / broadband package

We've been with Chorus NTL / UPC for a few years now, and have generally been pretty satisfied. We got a digital set top box about a year ago, which lets you record movies and pause live TV, and that has been excellent, it lets you record movies and TV shows to watch later. The customer service is normally pretty responsive. The broadband speeds are pretty good too, and it's reliable. Good experience for TV and broadband

I have been used the service form chorus NTL for 3 years mainly for TV and internet broadband connection. The availability is good in general, but I notice in some of apartment in Cork city they can only provide TV without internet broadband. They told me that is because the TV cable installed on the apartment does not support for internet broadband connection.
