Sushi Virgin....til I discovered Yamamori

(21 August 2010)

Report

by: Helena M. 5 out of 5

I first visited Yamamori about 6 months ago and ordered a 'Bento Box' as I had read Marion Keyes' novel 'Sushi For Beginners' and knew that this was what sushi virgins ordered. I've been back at least once a month since. They always have a great variety in their Bentos although I've yet to venture and try any of the rest of their delicious looking dishes. The last time I was there, there was 2 pieces sushi, salmon and prawn, swordfish tempura and tofu curry. What a weird and wonderful... Read more...

Love sushi

I love sushi, simple as that. And Yamamori Sushi knows how to win my heart. They have as well full range of food other that sushi, so anyone will find something for themselves. Loving the space and the garden, recently furnished with full size awning, so even if it rains, you can still sit outside. Food is amazing and they don't mind applying small adjustments if you don't like some ingredients. Staff brilliant, location great. ... Read more...

Had dinner here for a friends birthday a few weeks ago - great atmosphere and amazing food! I arrived before the rest of the group, was seated immediately at the bar and offered a drink. When the rest of the group arrived we were brought to our table quickly and had loads of seating space. The menu may be a little confusing for newbies, but there's something to please everyone even if you're a fussy eater (which I am) and you can just ask the waiting staff if you have any questions about the... Best Sushi in Dublin

(12 May 2010)

Report

by: Sarah L. 4 out of 5

I have eaten here a good few time and I have always been impressed with the food and service. The sushi is some of the best in Dublin, a very wide range and always freshly prepared, I personally prefer the sushi to the noodle dishes, but I do enjoy trying out the different tempura dishes, which are always delicious! As well as the perfect service the food arrives very quickly which can be a good or a bad thing depending on how long you want to spend in the restaurant. ... Read more...

Huge portions!

Love this restaurant - whenever we want a treat we always book ourselves a table here on a saturday night. We recently visited mid week and it was packed!!! The sushi is just delicious - maybe one of my favourite places for sushi in town! But even if you are not a sushi lover there is so much on the menu. Some of the main courses sound very similar to Wagamamas but they are just better - and the portions are massive! We will often order sushi and then share a main course between the two of... Bit of a let down!

We have been very loyal customer of Yamamori noodle and yamamori sushi for a long time but devastatingly recently we have had 3 bad meals in a row! Food not cooked ( and no not the sushi!!) veg & edamame completely over cooked and the very unfriendly attitude of the staff when we requested a replacement of the items. They even tried to argue that the veg accompanying a cooked dish should be cold! when i pointed out that they were cold to the point of still frozen and requested the... Read more...

I have to review this restaraunt as I have eaten here so many times, the food is always to a very high standerd and the service is so refreshing, the staff are friendly, interested and genuinley appear to enjoy their job, as opposed to so many robotic and bored wait staff that are in many other establishments. The lunch menu is great value, with excellent specials. Its a litlle pricey for evening sittings, but there is great variety. So 100% thumbs up for yamamori, love it and recomend it all... Such a great lunch menu here. Ten euro for a salad, a side dish of something like dumplings or sushi, rice/miso soup and a fresh juice. It is actually a HUGE amount of food and for 9.99, it's insane value. What really makes it so wonderful is the fact that the food is so tasty and feels so healthy, it's exactly the kind of thing you WANT to have for lunch. Service here is always great and the lunch menu runs until 5.30 which is later than most other places in Dublin so you could really just... Read more...

I am quite possibly addicted to this restaurant. I live in Cork, but quite often make trips to Dublin. During my time in Dublin, it is an absolute must to visit Yamamori for a delicious Bento box. These are particularly good value during the day, at 9.95 for a massive feed! Sushi, salad, meats, rice and miso soup - almost too much to eat sometimes - all freshly cooked and tasty. The service is excellent and it's well worth paying extra money to eat other dishes here too.... Read more...
