I remember filling up a smaller bottle with Cola to bring out to the airport. When I opened the top it shot off like a bullet and ricocheted around the metal roof of the seating area inside the airport. Very funny but potentially dangerous if it had hit someone in the face. My son also had a quarter filled bottle of Innocent smoothie that exploded in the heat in his car when he was driving and covered him in gunge. Dangerous but Brill. read more...

I watched a customer being served at the hot food counter this week. The staff member completly ignored the customer standing in front of her and spent her time chatting to the guy on the new meat counter beside her. Some lovely staff here but also some very poor staff as well. read more...

David I was referring to the 7 course tasting menu with Redmonds Fine Foods and Wines taking place on the 30th May as distinct from the 7 course tasting menu (without wine) that seems to be an everyday event on request. @ Soylent Green: Just to correct you on a few points in your comment above: There is already and has been a tasting menu at Pearl Brasserie for many years, the price is around €75 and is available on request, believe men when I say that Pearl Brasserie often leads the way in culinary innovation in Dublin; for instant, it is one of the very few serious restaurants in Dublin with a full fine dining a la carte vegetarian menu and has had such a menu for over ten years.
