MT T wrote a review about The Oar House
This delightful restaurant, serving both lunch and dinner, is great. With walls bedecked with maritime paraphernalia it's casual and cheerful without being kitschy. The evening I visited, (we had a table booked), there were people waiting for tables, so be sure to book if you're going in good...

I must admit I miss the Bewleys Restaurant that was here.

MT T wrote a review about Tower Records
I really like this shop in town - with its meandering interior and ample selection, it's less manic and mainstream than nearby HMV. Music may have largely moved online, but roaming around somewhere like Tower Records and stumbling across a new find is the kind of experience that is increasingly...
MT T wrote a review about Cafe Novo
This cafe is a great place to have lunch in town. The dark tables and chairs and the views to the streets outside are a good combination - you feel relaxed and removed from the bustle of the city centre whilst still enjoying the scenery. Service is efficient and friendly, and the menu dares to...
MT T wrote a review about Oxfam Ireland
The Oxfam outlet is very different from its others. Its the kind of place where you might happen upon something weird and wonderful - a piece of unusual jewellery, a charming wooden musical instrument etc... I don't think that it's particularly expensive, - maybe people just expect it to be because...
MT T wrote a review about Royal Marine Hotel
I've never stayed here but vintage and antique fairs are held from time to time and so the hotel's decor and surroundings, (as in - large, immaculate lawn strewn with flowers and picnic benches, the sea in the distance etc...), suit such events perfectly.
MT T wrote a review about Cafe du Journal
Nice, unpretentious cafe and friendly staff - the outdoor seating is great. Monkstown Cresent has changed quite a bit lately - and not always for the better - but this cafe is lovely.

MT T wrote a review about Debenhams - Blackrock
Bland and suffocating, it's such a pity that this chain takes up so much space in a relatively small centre, especially when one thinks back to the Bewley's Café that once sat on the top floor overlooking the entrance and floor below. The piecemeal offerings - a bit of Oasis here, Topshop...
MT T wrote a review about Dubray Books
This shop is as a timeless bookshop should be. It hasn't morphed into some sort of bookshop/ newsagent/ sweetshop, as many others seem to have. The shop isn't huge, and therefore neither is the selection, but the layout is spacious and inviting, making it a pleasure to browse. In addition to...

MT T wrote a review about Avoca Rathcoole (Egg Cafe)
Recently home to Neven Maguire during his weekly RTÉ show with slightly po-faced lookers-on, this Avoca doesn't provide the scenic splendour of some of its other outposts, but is nonetheless a great place to visit if you're in the mood for that type of shopping spree. And of course, once...

I have only ever been to this TGIs’ a few times. They servce the usual fast food, burgers, chips, etc. There is never much of an atmosphere there during the week at lunch time. Weekends are a different story, usually lots of families and is very popular for birthday parties for the young ones....
Roberta Lawless posted a new review on Douglas & Kaldi, that MT T also reviewed
Have eaten here on a couple of occasions. The terrace is a perfect place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the town center however the food is a little bit disappointing. The staff are friendly but service can be slow. Breakfast was too greasy for my taste, lunch was better in comparison,...

Roxy Landy posted a new review on Superquinn, that MT T also reviewed
Smashing Bakery & the love their sausages. Sunday is the best I find to shop here as it is not as busy and car parking is free. Certainly agree with the sentiment that Superquinn has lost it's touch since Fergal sold it on. It is missing the small attention to detail that FQ would not miss. ...

Etain F posted a new review on Bewleys Cafe , that MT T also reviewed
I was in here during Christmas, they had a tiny model display of Bewleys inside with all of these miniature figurines. It was interesting to see a miniature model of the building I was standing, it was actually really nice. They also had a big Christmas tree lit up in the centre of the cafe. It's...

Valderi Valdera . posted a new review on Dun Laoghaire Farmers Market., that MT T also reviewed
Next Sunday sees the "Kickstart" festival at the Peoples Park in Dun Laoghaire. It will be a real family day out with lots of games, bouncy castles, face painting and everything that you would expect at a festival. Alongside this there will be the ever popular Farmer's Market. It's free...
