Don't come here to charge your phone

I was once told by a friend who used to work here that he had to clean shit off a seat on one occasion after a screening. He never told me which film it was, as if this was somehow irrelevant, but I will allow you, the reader, to draw your own conclusions. The question remains: can we blame a cinema for its patrons' bowel behaviour? Possibly not. But can we insist that toilets are put near the screens, that the popcorn is not a maizy laxative, and that – above all else – there are napkins provided at numerous “checkpoints” throughout the complex. Food for thought.

Fecal matters aside, the cinema still deserves a review. Located on the illustrious Parnell St, a sort of Wonderland for Chinamen, Cineworld is affectionately known to some as “UGC”, much in the same way that Old People might refer to euros as pounds, overweight girls as fat fucks, or handicapped people as retards. Times have changed, however, and now political correctness maintains that we must refer to this place as “Cineworld”, for fear of offending Chinese people or scumbags. Whether this is the reason behind the change will never be known for certain, but Cineworld it is.

Recently I needed somewhere to charge my phone and thought that, surely, a place like Cineworld would jump at the chance to beam me up. I was wrong. At the ticket desk I politely presented my charger and phone and asked nicely. “Oh no,” said the bitch, “We just sell tickets.” I realised I'd have to make it on my own in this world. I found a plug on the ground floor and sat down beside it to charge my phone but wasn't bothered waiting two hours to charge it fully so left after about 5 minutes.

Anyway, as cinemas in Ireland go, this will always be my first choice (whether for charging phones or simply watching movies). It's reasonably priced, it's probably the largest cinema in the country and there are plenty of plugs on the ground floor.

Luke would recommend. Luke would use again.

have you never heard the phrase "large and in charge"? the fact is that smaller cinemas don't have that many plug sockets

Bewildered by your final paragraph, yiz bollix. It's not at all reasonably priced. 10.40 I foolishly paid there recently. And why would a cinema being large recomend it?

Yes Niall southside cinema's are your only option. Go to Coolock and probably get stabbed, while cineworld apparently gives you shit stains. The savoy...hmmm jurys out on that one.

I'd go here to see Harry Potter or something, but I'd probably trek out to the Ormonde in Stillorgan, or Movies@Dundrum to get a good long southside charge in
