Excellent Community Radio Station

Having spent a year presenting a show as a hobby during 4th year, I am more familiar with 103.2 Dublin City FM (Formerly Anna Livia 103.2 FM) than I am with other stations. As a community station, it's completely voluntary, run by people giving up their free time. The shows cover a variety of tastes, including music, sport, current affairs, culture etc. The station gives opportunities also to people from abroad to broadcast a show for fellow ex-patriates living in Dublin, notably in the case of Eastern Europeans, many of whom still live in Dublin in spite of the economic recession.
In my time at the station, I always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. For anybody wanting to get involved with amateur broadcasting, 103.2 Dublin City FM is a great place to start, providing a local audience and a weekly slot to prepare. Alternatively, if you want to broadcast your views in a well-presented way, but only do it as a hobby, this station suits well once again. The station is definitely a community, and a good one to be a part of.
