Excellent Nepalese cuisine

There used to be a dodgy little restaurant until quite recently that we visited once just for pure comedy value but it has now been replaced by a much finer establishment in Monty's which is the sister restaurant of the now well known Monty's of Kathmandu in Temple Bar.
Given that we had just had our 1 day of summer and we had guests for the weekend we wanted somewhere where we could potentially sit outside, that was within walking distance of our house and that would let us bring our baby son. Monty's ticked all of the boxes and were able to seat us immediately so off we set.
There is a very nice area to the front of the restaurant covered by an oversized parasol that was perfect. There is a "water feature" there as well though so it will be prone to midges but I seemed to be the only one complaining. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We had our drinks and starters outside on the terrace and when it got a bit more nippy we went inside for our main course.
The food was excellent - Nepalese food is a good variation on what you may be normally expect to get from Indian restaurants. The spice and ingredients used are all similar but with interesting variations on the theme.
We are only sorry that we have left it to so long to go to Monty's given that we are moving out of the area in a week but we will surely be back at some point.

That is interesting as I had no idea that restaurant was Nepalese...Ive walked past it and done a double take as it is called Montys of all names! Will definitely give a try now I know what food it serves...
