Excellent source of information

This website is a brilliant source of information for parenthood and life in Ireland. I first started using the site when I moved to Ireland and was looking for childcare for my daughter. When I found out I was prengnant with my second child I used the site again to find out information about having a baby in Ireland. I joined a forum with other women who were joined in the same month, and then moved onto the relevant new mum forum after my baby was born. This is great as you get to exchange posts with mums who are going through the same stage with their babys. It is nice to have this support network. The site also has a brilliant christmas forum at the moment that members use to post information relating to christmas plans, including details of bargains that they think would make good christmas presents. I got information relating to a good deal on a dolls house that I bought for my daughter for Christmas on this site. Another member had posted to say that it was half price, saving my 25 quid! I've also got some good money saving tips from the money matters thread. I'm really glad I discovered the site.

I recently got a negative vote for this review and I have to say - looking at rollercoaster today and reading my review I would give it a negative vote as well. Something really strange has happened on the site. Parents seem to be forming wee clicks and attacking other parents who have different views to them. It has lost a lot of it's supportive community feel and I acutally recently was made to feel quite stupid when I posted a question about my baby. I'd like to say it was a one of occurence, but of late I have felt like this a lot. Some people seem to wait for certain posters to make a comment just so they can pounce on them and have a go at them for having a different parenting style than them.
In saying that I still read look at the site every now and again and get some good tips. I am just 100 times more cautious about what I post.
If I was a company I'd think twice before advertising here as I wouldn't want to be associated with some of the carry on.
