Great family day out

I have been here a coupleof times and on each occasion have left thoroughly satisfied and very happy. Airfield is essentially a working farm right in the middle of Dundrum which you can walk around, show the kids the animals and it also has a nice house, kitchen garden and tea rooms to relax in. We went this weekend with our 2 boys (under 4) and our friend's 2 kids (also under 4) and wandered around for a few hours. Between miniature horses (and foal), large pig (and 10 piglets), sheep, cows, calves and goats the kids were in heaven. My one year old literally walked around squealing with excitement from the moment we walked in. The only downside was that the fox had recently got all the hens so son number 1 was wondering what lived in all the empty hen houses...and where the fox was... Airfield is well laid out with paths throughout the property to enable families and their buggies to get around easily. The tea rooms are a nice way to end things - if the weather is nice (or at least warm) there is a terrace which with so many kids in tow was essential. Airfield also run summer camps for older kids - art, gardening etc. which looked interesting but not really on our radar at the moment.
Tom would recommend. Tom would use again.
