Rollerdisaster is more like

There are 3 groups of posters using this site: the ones who sit quietly in the corner playing word games most suited for a 9/10yro , the ones who resort to telling other posters to F off (I kid you not) and the ones who question the management and ask them to bring about more structured and non biased moderation. The latter have left the site because they no longer want to be assosciated with such a shoddy organisation.
All this from a site that portrays itself as one for "Parents" . I closed my account permanently recently after reading a poster who has a newborn baby ,tell another user to literally "F off" - I was gobsmacked and the very fact that the management allowed this to carry on furthered my case to close my account.
Personally not a site I would frequent if I were looking for advise as it appears to be more of a battle field over there recently.
Cath would not recommend. Cath would not use again.

Its terrible to see these reviews - and even worse to say that I also have to agree that it has changed, and so much so that I also don't spend as much time as I used to on it at all (maybe the toddler also has something to do with that!) - but I would still go on it to look for a bit of advice or ask a question or two and have still got some great advice.... but I definitely don't get as much fun or enjoyment out of "lurking" anymore. Which is a huge pity, because there has been some lovely people on the site and I have made "RC friends" during my time on it.

I posted an review at the end of last year about how good the site is. I have to say my views have changed somewhat in recent months - what has happened to the site?? I still have a look on it every now and then, but it's so different. Everyone seems to have thier backs up and are quick to jump down each others throats. However, I still come across some good tips on the new mum boards.

I am glad to read I am not the only one who is so dispondent with RC. I thought I was turning in to a grumpy aul wan when I got fed up with the whole thing. The over moderation that is purely biased just really stafrted to do my head in. I dont even open the place anymore to have a lurk.
Great review Cath, you said it so much better than I. Being honest, I would not even buy from any of the companies that advertise on that site anymore.
