I’ve spent enough years on rooftops to know a bodged repair when I see one. One afternoon last winter I stripped back a flat roof in WA6 that had been patched over four times. Each patch hiding the one before. The original problem, a failed drip edge, had never once been touched. It’s that kind of thing we set right properly.

We work in natural Welsh slate, fibre cement, clay plain tile, concrete interlocking, you name it. So when a customer rings asking about a specific tile to match an older property, we’re not guessing. We’ve handled it before.

So if you’ve got a leak after heavy rain or a ridge that’s started to lift, don’t leave it. Water gets in fast and the damage underneath comes on like a bad smell, gradual until it isn’t. However tempting it is to wait until spring, winter water ingress rarely stays contained.
