We work with porcelain a lot these days. It handles the Irish rainfall well once it’s bedded and jointed correctly, and it stays looking right year after year. Sandstone and limestone are still popular, however, and we’re happy working with either. Every material has its place depending on the garden and the budget.

We don’t price a job until we’ve had a look. Square footage only tells part of the story. The condition of what’s underneath, the drainage requirements, how much breaking out is needed, all of that changes the number. We come out, we look, we give you a straight figure.

Renovating an old patio is often more work than laying a fresh one. Lifting, disposing of the old material, sorting out whatever problems got buried underneath. We’ve pulled up some creative DIY over the years, and left it at that.
