Canvey Island Patios

Canvey Island Patios

Canvey Island, Essex. That’s our patch, and we know it well. The ground conditions here, the clay, the drainage quirks, the narrow rear access on half the terraced streets in the area, we’ve dealt with all of it.

What do we actually do?

Good question. We lay patios, paths, and garden paving across Canvey Island and the surrounding postcodes. We work with a solid range of materials:

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Indian sandstone
  • Concrete flagstones
  • Block paving

We also put up timber fencing, build garden walling, and lay turf or artificial grass when a garden needs the full treatment.

What’s the day-to-day work actually like?

It’s not always clean. A lot of the jobs we get called to involve tight rear-access constraints, where there’s no side gate wide enough to wheel a barrow through, and everything has to come over the back fence or through the house. We’re used to it. You’d be surprised how many gardens in this part of Essex are locked in like that.

How do we handle that without turning your living room into a building site? Carefully, and with a bit of planning upfront.

We’re straight about timescales. We don’t quote one thing and then string the job out for weeks. If there’s something on site that changes the picture, say the sub-base needs more work than we expected, we’ll tell you before we crack on, not after.

Why pick us?

We’re a local business. We’re not a firm based miles away sending out a van. Our reputation here on Canvey Island is what keeps us working. We’ve done gardens from Somerton Estate in Dublin to the back terraces of Essex, and what never changes is that word travels fast in a neighbourhood.

If the job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly. Sand, compaction, falls for drainage. The basics done right from the start.
