Cork Builders
Building that holds up. Work you can see.
We build things properly. That’s the start and end of it.
Cork Builders has been taking on residential and commercial building work across Cork City for years. From groundworks and foundations right through to full structural alterations, we cover the whole build, not just the finishing coat. We’ve worked on sites near Fota Island, out past Ballincollig, and up through the Douglas road corridor, so we know the ground conditions and planning context around here well.
What we take on
- House extensions, single and two-storey
- New builds from foundation up
- Loft conversions and garage conversions
- Brickwork, blockwork, and structural alterations
- Plastering, rendering, and external finishes
- Groundworks, drainage, and foundations
- General building maintenance and repair
Loft conversions are a good example of where experience counts. Getting the structural load path right through an existing roof means reading what’s already there before you touch a thing. We’ve done enough of them to know where the problems hide.
Extensions worth knowing about
When it comes to residential extensions, there are more options than most people realise. Right, here’s what we actually build.
- Rear extensions
- Side return extensions
- Wrap-around extensions
- Double-storey extensions
- Orangeries and garden rooms
- Basement conversions
- Modular and prefabricated extensions
Each type carries its own planning considerations. We’ll tell you straight what’s achievable on your plot before any money changes hands.
How we work
We keep things clear. No vague quotes. No surprises halfway through a job. Our team communicates with you throughout, and we don’t disappear between stages. The standard we hold to is one we’d apply to our own homes. However, the real measure is what the structure looks like in ten years.
