Babylon Paving
Laid Right the First Time
Cold snaps crack blacktop fast. I’ve seen it plenty of times out here on Long Island, a driveway that looked fine in October starting to heave and split come February. That’s why we take the groundwork seriously before a single load of asphalt gets tipped.
We’ve been doing this work in and around Babylon for long enough to know what the ground does here. The drainage piece is something I always stress to customers. Get that wrong and it doesn’t matter how clean your surface looks. Water sits, it works its way under, and the whole job fails inside a couple of winters.
What We Work With
We give customers real choices on surfacing. Every material has its own character and its own best use, so we talk it through properly before anything gets priced.
- Hot mix asphalt, standard and heavy-duty grades
- Asphalt overlay on existing driveways that have sound structure underneath
- Interlock concrete pavers, brick pattern, cobble, and straight coursed
- Concrete paving slabs for patios and walkways
- Permeable paver options where drainage is a priority
- Blacktop resurfacing for worn but stable bases
The Work We Do
New driveways are a big part of what we handle. Patio paving too, and walkways where you want something that holds up to foot traffic year round. (We once repaved the approach to a fire station for the North Amityville Fire Company, and that kind of job keeps you honest about standards.) It’s not glamorous work. But it matters.
We cover Babylon and the surrounding Suffolk County area. Residential, commercial, it all gets the same attention from our crew. Small patch job or a full new driveway, the prep work doesn’t change.
