One job I get called to a fair bit is insulating a cold garage conversion. People turn the garage into a bedroom or a home office, then wonder why it feels like a fridge in January. Spray foam or rigid board, done right, sorts it completely.

Damp and condensation

A lot of what looks like a damp problem is actually a cold surface problem. Insulate the wall or the floor correctly, you change the whole picture. I have seen it make a serious difference in older properties around Abbeyleix and similar County Laois towns.

Honestly, insulation is not glamorous work, but it is the most impactful thing you can do to a building.
