Materials we work with

Porcelain is popular right now and we understand why. It’s hard-wearing and low maintenance. However, it wants a rigid, perfectly flat base or it’ll crack at the grout lines inside a year. We don’t cut corners there.

Sandstone is forgiving to look at and suits the Essex countryside well. Concrete flags are honest and budget-friendly. We’ll tell you straight which material fits your ground conditions and your money.

How we work

We survey before we quote. We assess drainage. We check for any soft spots. Then we dig out properly and compact in layers before a single slab goes down. That’s just how it has to be done.

We’re a small crew. Honestly, that’s a good thing. You get the same faces on site from start to finish, not a different gang every morning.
