A bit of background

A neighbour once asked us to “just have a look” at a cracked lintel. That afternoon turned into a full structural repair, and they’ve recommended us to half the street since. That’s how most of our work finds us, honestly.

We’ve been building and renovating across this part of Cheshire for years, and we know the ground here, the clay-heavy soil around Delamere Forest, the older stone properties near Norley, the tighter plots you find closer to Weaverham. Each one asks something different of you.

We did a new garage for a family over in Cuddington last spring, cavity wall construction, proper insulated roof, the lot. It came in on budget and they were back to us six months later about a kitchen extension.

How we work

I’m on site myself most days, which means nothing gets missed in translation between what a customer wants and what actually gets built. We don’t subcontract the core work out and disappear (I’ve heard too many stories about that from people who’ve come to us after a bad experience elsewhere).

Foundations are laid properly, brickwork is pointed as it goes, and we don’t rush a render just to get off a job. However, if a programme needs to move to suit a customer’s situation, we’ll work around it where we reasonably can.
