Southam Patios
Southam Patios
A proper outdoor space. Not a muddy afterthought.
Outdoor spaces get neglected. Cracked slabs, tired lawns, fencing that’s given up. We fix that. Based in Southam, we lay patios, build walls, put up fencing, and sort lawns that actually look right when we’re done.
Here’s what we work with:
- Porcelain tiled patios
- Indian sandstone and natural stone slabbing
- Concrete flagstone installations
- Garden paving and paths
- New walling and timber fencing
- Artificial grass and turfed lawns
Porcelain versus natural sandstone. Worth knowing before you choose.
Two very different materials. Porcelain is dense, low-maintenance, barely absorbs water. Sandstone is natural, warmer underfoot, and every slab looks slightly different, which some people love. Porcelain needs a solid mortar bed with no flex, while sandstone can tolerate a slightly more forgiving base, though we still use permeable jointing compound and resin-bound edging details on both systems to keep drainage working properly and stop weeds pushing through the joints over time.
We know this area.
We’ve laid patios across CV47 and into the surrounding villages. We’ve done work on new builds out at Bishops Itchington, where the ground conditions are heavy clay and you have to get the sub-base right or the whole thing moves come winter. And that’s the bit most people don’t see. But it’s the bit that matters most.
Heavy clay is actually quite forgiving once you’ve got your compacted MOT Type 1 depth right. Most jobs don’t need drama, just decent prep and the right material for the setting.
